Share you photos of the day on Instagram – @tillerandwheel #MedwayRiverPageant

On the afternoon of Saturday 4th June, the River Medway will play host to the Platinum Jubilee Medway River Pageant.

Featuring a parade from the lower reaches, up to Sun Pier, Chatham and culminating with ‘The Grand Cacophony’ at 1530hrs- a wall of sound from ships to shore – the event will be a spectacle unlike any seen on the river for a generation.

For the public, Sun Pier will be hosting a ‘street party’ from 12pm to 5pm, with live music, food outlets and craft stalls where you can make your own ‘noisy implement’ to get involved with the Cacophony.

Chatham Waterfront and Gun Wharf are additional viewing sites – bring a picnic or visit the newly refurbished Command House pub.
